PocketBook introduces phone-sized e-reader

Swiss e-book company PocketBook has announced the launch of the PocketBook Q, a phone-sized e-reader that will launch at the Innovation For All (IFA) 2026 conference in Berlin from 4 to 8 September 2026, book news company The Bookseller reported on Tuesday.

Priced at GBP175, the device will be available in late autumn 2026.

The 5.84-inch e-reader is designed for one-handed reading and supports audiobooks, Bluetooth headphones and Text-to-Speech. It will come with the PocketBook x Libby app for borrowing digital books and support 25 e-book formats without conversion.

PocketBook Readers GmbH managing director Enrico Mueller said the compact device is designed to make reading more accessible, with physical side buttons for easy page turning and enough storage to carry an entire library.

The Bookseller said that PocketBook is also expanding its UK presence and investing in UK-specific content through its partnership with Gardners, giving UK consumers access to Gardners' full digital e-book catalogue.
