Faber to publish Gaza war diary Who Will Tell My Story? in July 2025
Book publisher Faber revealed on Wednesday that it has acquired world rights to Who Will Tell My Story?: A Gaza Diary, a first-person account of life in Gaza during the initial months of the Israel-Palestine conflict following 7 October 2023.
Commissioning Editor Mo Hafeez secured all language rights directly from the author and Natasha Fairweather at Rogers, Coleridge & White.
Publication is scheduled for July 2025.
Originally serialised in The Guardian, the diary documents the author's day-to-day struggle for survival - navigating bombed streets, searching for food and electricity, and maintaining contact with loved ones. It captures the psychological toll of war and occupation, balancing fear and hope amid devastation.
The unnamed Palestinian author, in his thirties, wrote from Gaza before fleeing the region. He now lives in exile but remains committed to returning home. Hafeez described the work as "a necessary read" and "a powerful portrait of the human spirit," underscoring Faber's commitment to publishing voices that chronicle history with immediacy and emotional clarity.
