Ranpak partners with Thalia to enhance sustainable packaging across DACH operations
Ranpak Holdings Corp (NYSE:PACK), a provider of sustainable packaging automation technology, on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with Thalia, the leading book retailer in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, to support its sustainability goals and boost fulfilment efficiency.
The initiative includes the installation of 12 automated Ranpak packaging systems at Thalia's new fulfilment and production facility, set to open in 2026.
The systems include three Cut'it! EVO units for right-sizing and sealing boxes, three Form'it! packers for automated box forming, and six Flap'it! systems to streamline packaging of small, flat items. These technologies aim to reduce waste, minimise packaging volume and improve processing speeds.
This deployment is the first phase of a broader collaboration, with additional systems under review to further support Thalia's ecommerce and retail operations. Ranpak's automation solutions will be integrated across Thalia's network of over 500 stores and its online platform.
