Bonnier Books UK awarded British Book Award for Export
Publishing company Bonnier Books UK announced on Tuesday that it was awarded the British Book Award for Export at the 2024 Nibbies, marking its first win at the event after four consecutive years on the shortlist.
Judges praised the International Sales team for their proactive approach and deep market understanding, highlighting their energy and commitment to booksellers worldwide.
The award comes during Bonnier Books UK's 10th anniversary year and follows its recent recognition with the Sustainability Award at the Independent Publishers Guild's Independent Publishing Awards in April.
A record eight nominations underscored the company's strong presence at the ceremony. Author Lynda La Plante was shortlisted for Author of the Year, while Rosie Goodwin's Our Fair Lily and Susie Dent's Guilty by Definition were nominated in Book of the Year categories. Additional nods included Children's Publisher of the Year, Imprint of the Year for Embla and individual shortlists for Ruth Bennett and Sharon Miller-Gold in editorial and rights categories respectively.
