Sunwoda unveils ultra-fast charging motorcycle battery at CIBF 2026
Chinese battery manufacturer Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd. (SZSE: 300207; SIX: SWD) said on Thursday it has released a new Motorcycle Ultra-Fast Charging Battery capable of pairing with 6 kW chargers to reach 80% charge in 20 minutes.
The battery, unveiled at CIBF 2026, is designed to deliver more than 2,000 cycles and has a five-year service life. It maintains inter-cell temperature variance within 3 °C during high-power charging, operates between -20 °C and 60 °C, is IPX7-rated and is compatible with over 90% of battery-swap stations.
Design-in validation has been completed with several e-motorcycle manufacturers, with pilot deployments underway in Hangzhou and mass production planned for Q3 2026.
At the CIBF exhibit, the company also highlighted sustainability initiatives, including recycled-material use and battery-passport implementation, aimed at supporting faster charging, improved safety and more transparent lifecycle management. An industry alliance for ultra-fast charging in light electric mobility was also formed to support protocol standardisation.
