Teleste launches 1.8 GHz-ready broadband amplifiers for European cable networks
Teleste Oyj (HEL: TLT1V), a Finland-based provider of broadband network solutions, on Wednesday introduced two compact broadband amplifiers, AC1800 and AC2800, designed to support European cable operators upgrading their active networks for higher capacity and improved service quality.
The products enable operators to renew 1.2 GHz amplifier sites while installing 1.8 GHz downstream capability from the outset. Teleste said this mirrors the wider European trend of deploying 1.8 GHz passives even in networks that continue to operate at 1.2 GHz.
The company positioned the AC Series as a clear upgrade for operators with a defined 1.8 GHz roadmap and a low-profile option for those still assessing future frequency plans. It said the amplifiers offer high RF performance, compact mechanics, controlled power consumption and outdoor reliability suitable for European street cabinets.
Automatic control features are included as standard, with an optional transponder available for remote communication and network management. Early customer engagement indicates strong interest, with first deployments expected in 2026.
