NCC secures SEK680m in Norwegian asphalt contracts

Nordic construction company NCC AB (STO: NCC-B) announced on Wednesday that it has signed 12 one-year asphalt contracts, worth a combined SEK680m, with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and several Norwegian counties.

Around SEK550m of the order value was booked in the first quarter of 2026, with the remaining SEK130m to be recognised in the second quarter in the NCC Industry business area. Work is scheduled to begin in May.

All contracts include a mandatory 30% CO2 weighting, a procurement requirement in Norway designed to reward lower-emission asphalt production and encourage investment in cleaner technologies. NCC has introduced measures such as wood-pellet-fuelled asphalt plants, biogenic binding agents and extensive use of reclaimed asphalt pavement, and now operates six wood-pellet-powered plants in Norway.

The contracts cover areas in Innlandet, Agder, Rogaland, Akershus and Møre og Romsdal counties, as well as multiple regions under the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, including Greater Oslo, Telemark, Hordaland and Nord Rogaland.
