SentinelOne to acquire Prompt Security to enhance GenAI and agent security capabilities
Cybersecurity company SentinelOne (NYSE:S) announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Prompt Security, a company focused on securing generative AI in runtime environments.
The acquisition supports SentinelOne's strategy to expand its AI-native Singularity Platform by offering enterprises real-time visibility and control over AI usage.
Prompt Security's technology enables detection and protection against AI risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, and model misuse across tools including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, and custom LLMs. The integration will provide customers with policy-based enforcement, model-agnostic coverage, and gateway-level protection for AI applications.
This move positions SentinelOne to deliver end-to-end AI security, combining its existing endpoint and cloud capabilities with Prompt Security's browser, desktop, and API integrations. It also introduces a differentiated solution for managing shadow AI risks in modern enterprise environments.
The acquisition will be completed through a combination of cash and stock and is expected to close in SentinelOne's third fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
