Vestas wins 384 MW order for second phase of DTEK Tyligulska project in Ukraine
Danish wind turbine company Vestas (CPH:VWS) announced on Wednesday that it has secured a 384 MW order for the second phase of DTEK's Tyligulska wind energy project in Ukraine, complementing the 114 MW Tyligulska I project commissioned in 2023.
This second phase involves the supply, delivery and commissioning of 64 wind turbines. Combined, both phases will deliver 498 MW of capacity using 83 V162-6.2 MW turbines in 6.0 MW operating mode, marking the largest wind energy initiative in Ukraine. The project benefits from support by authorities in Denmark, Ukraine and the EU, alongside financial guarantees from Denmark's EIFO. Vestas has also committed to a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement for both phases.
Turbine deliveries will commence in Q1 2025, with full commissioning planned for Q4 2026.
