Nordic care company Humana AB (STO:HUM) announced on Wednesday that Humana Finland's agreement to divest 21 elderly care units to Mehiläinen Oy, announced on 23 May2024, has received final approval from the Finnish Competition Authority.

Approval required the divestment of one unit to a third party, achieved through an agreement with Esperi Care. The total purchase price for the transaction remains EUR25m.

The divested operations employ approximately 430 full-time equivalents and serve around 500 clients. Reported full-year revenues for 2023 were EUR36.4m, with an operating profit of EUR2.7m, including allocated overhead. Finalisation and exclusion from Humana's accounts are expected on 3 February 2025.
