Swedish multinational construction and development company Skanska AB (STO: SKA-B), which operates across the Nordics, Europe and the USA, said on Thursday it has agreed an additional USD238m contract, about SEK2.2bn, with an existing client to build a data centre in Virginia, USA.
The value will be booked in Skanska's US order intake for the third quarter of 2026.
The project covers a 22,000-square-metre facility comprising five data halls, site works and underground utilities. It will be the second building constructed on the campus.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and finish in May 2028.
