Skanska signs USD68m contract for new UNC Health medical campus

Swedish construction and development company Skanska AB (STO: SKA-B) said on Monday it has agreed an additional contract with US healthcare provider UNC Health (UNCH) to build a medical office building and parking deck in North Carolina.

The USD68m deal, about SEK630m, will be booked in Skanska's US order intake for the third quarter of 2026.

The scope covers site development, infrastructure, early equipment, and core and shell works for a six-storey medical office building of about 17,700 square metres as well as an 890-space parking deck. Planned prefabrication includes unitised curtainwall systems, exterior wall cladding and offsite exam room pods. The project will introduce new design and construction standards for UNCH's outpatient facilities.

Work began in June 2026 and is scheduled to finish in April 2028.
