Epiroc secures SEK380m order for autonomous electric drill rigs
Swedish mining and infrastructure equipment supplier Epiroc AB (STO: EPI-A) said on Friday that it has received a large order in Africa for a fleet of Pit Viper 275 E cable-electric blasthole drill rigs.
The surface mining equipment, which will operate fully autonomously, is designed to improve safety and productivity while producing zero exhaust emissions.
The order, booked in the first quarter of 2026, is valued at SEK380m. Delivery is scheduled to begin shortly and will run until the end of 2027.
