Sectra signs three-year deal to supply education platform to Norwegian health regions
Sweden-based medical technology and secure communication company Sectra AB (STO: SECT-B) said on Thursday that it has agreed a three-year contract to deliver its cloud-based Sectra Education Portal to all four Norwegian health regions.
The platform is designed to provide clinicians across Norway with access to training in pathology and radiology using clinically realistic cases and imaging tools. As a managed SaaS service, it offers continuous updates, security features and standardised access without adding to hospitals' IT workloads.
The Sectra Education Portal supports national collaboration by enabling the sharing and reuse of educational and quality-assurance material, and it allows laboratories to compare methods and performance. Built on Sectra's enterprise imaging solution, it provides tools for skill development, competency verification and performance tracking using real clinical cases.
Signed in the fourth quarter of Sectra's 2025/2026 financial year, the agreement covers Helse Nord RHF, Helse Midt-Norge RHF, Helse Vest RHF and Helse Sør-Øst RHF, with an initial allocation for up to 300 monthly users. All regions already use Sectra's radiology system, and three also use its digital pathology solution.
