Filtronic wins EUR7m contract for LEO satellite constellation RF assemblies
Filtronic plc (AIM:FTC), a UK-based designer and manufacturer of advanced radio frequency (RF) solutions for the space, aerospace, defence and telecoms infrastructure markets, announced on Thursday that it has secured a multi-year contract with a leading European aerospace manufacturer.
Under the agreement Filtronic will supply RF assemblies for integration into a major Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation programme.
Valued at over EUR7m, the contract will be executed over the next three years.
Filtronic will supply complex RF assemblies, produced in-house, engineered to operate reliably under the demanding conditions of LEO. These assemblies are designed to deliver high-performance communication capabilities across a range of applications.
The deal represents an extension of the company's relationship with a new aerospace customer.
