Bonava begins construction of 120 sustainable apartments in Stockholm
Sweden-based residential developer Bonava AB (STO:BONAV-B) on Friday announced that it has initiated the construction of 120 tenant-owned apartments in Hägersten, Stockholm.
The Fredman project, located in the new Axelsberg district, marks the first phase of development and will be reported as started in the third quarter of 2025.
The project comprises two 11-storey buildings, positioned near Lake Mälaren, Vinterviken, and the Stockholm underground's red line. Completion of the first housing units is expected in 2027.
The apartments are certified with the Nordic Swan ecolabel and will include sustainability features such as rooftop solar panels and shared communal areas.
Bonava is the first developer to begin construction in the area, where the City of Stockholm plans approximately 450 homes and two preschools.
