Defence Holdings partners with Oracle to advance AI innovation for defence and national security

Software-led defence company Defence Holdings plc (LON:ALRT) on Thursday announced a collaboration between its Defence Technologies division and technology company Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) to deliver sovereign cloud and AI solutions for global defence and national security customers.

The partnership will enable clients to deploy Defence Technologies' applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining cost control and technological superiority.

Defence Technologies, a joint venture between Defence Holdings and Whitespace, a member of the Oracle Defense Ecosystem, serves as a platform for developing and launching sovereign AI-enabled defence software products. The collaboration allows Defence Technologies to scale its AI offerings through OCI's global infrastructure.

According to Andy McCartney, chief technology officer at Defence Holdings, the company's strategy focuses on building sovereign AI products atop trusted hyperscale platforms to strengthen defence capabilities across the UK, NATO, and allied nations.

Through OCI's distributed cloud, including Oracle Roving Edge Infrastructure, Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Isolated, and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, Defence Technologies will provide secure, high-performance AI deployment options for defence organisations worldwide.
