BAE Systems secures U.S. Air Force approval for Compass Call Mission Crew Simulator
BAE Systems (LON: BA), a provider of advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions, announced on Wednesday that it has secured U.S. Air Force approval for its Compass Call Mission Crew Simulator (CCMCS) for the EA-37B electronic-attack mission system and has delivered the simulator to support interim fielding.
Developed with Textron Systems Corporation, the CCMCS replicates the EA-37B's controls, displays and systems to provide high-fidelity training and mission rehearsal in a simulated tactical environment. Use of the simulator reduces reliance on live-flight training, lowering risk and cost while preserving aircraft availability for operations.
Simulator-based training addresses electronic warfare operations, mission planning and execution, resource management, communications, decision-making and crew teamwork, and is available around the clock to support continuous readiness. The EA-37B mission system, produced in Hudson, New Hampshire, delivers long-range stand-off electromagnetic warfare capabilities to disrupt adversary communication, radar, navigation and air-defence systems.
