Simon & Schuster to publish Bob Dylan art book and unabridged audiobook
General interest publishing company Simon & Schuster announced on Tuesday that it will publish Point Blank (Quick Studies), a new art book by Bob Dylan, on 18 November 2025. This marks Dylan's first trade-published art collection in over a decade and follows his 2022 New York Times bestseller The Philosophy of Modern Song.
The oversized volume presents around 100 black-and-white works created between 2021 and 2022, featuring portraits, still lifes and landscapes. Short prose vignettes by Eddie Gorodetsky, Jackie Hamilton and Lucy Sante accompany the images. The artwork forms the basis of Dylan's current Point Blank exhibition at London's Halcyon Gallery, running until 6 July 2025.
On the same date, Simon & Schuster Audio will release the first unabridged audiobook edition of Dylan's memoir Chronicles: Volume One, narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Sean Penn. Previously, only an abridged version had been available since 2004.
Dylan, who has sold over 125 million albums worldwide, received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016 and has been honoured with the French Legion of Honor, a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
