Michelin Guide to debut Saudi Arabia edition in 2026, highlighting Riyadh and Jeddah
French tyre manufacturer Michelin (Euronext Paris:ML) on Tuesday announced the expansion of the Michelin Guide into Saudi Arabia, with the first edition scheduled for release in 2026.
The inaugural restaurant selection will be unveiled in stages beginning in October 2025 and concluding by year-end.
Initial coverage will spotlight Riyadh and Jeddah, while also beginning to explore other regions such as Khobar and AlUla. Michelin's anonymous inspectors are currently evaluating restaurants across the Kingdom's growing culinary landscape.
This initiative marks a milestone in showcasing Saudi Arabia's diverse food culture and elevating its visibility on the global gastronomic stage. The selection aims to recognise chefs and teams demonstrating excellence, creativity and respect for local traditions.
Mayada Badr, CEO of the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission, said that its collaboration with the Michelin Guide celebrates Saudi Arabia's culinary identity and invites international audiences to experience its flavours.
