Pyrum Innovations completes assembly of world's largest rCB grinding plant
Recycling technology specialist Pyrum Innovations AG (ETR:PYR) (Euronext Growth Oslo:PYRUM) has successfully completed the mechanical assembly of its new grinding plant in Dillingen, designed for recovered Carbon Black (rCB), the company announced on Friday.
Developed by Hosokawa, the jet mill has the capacity to process 1,650 kg/h of input material and 1,350 kg/h of output, with residual material recirculated to minimise waste.
This expansion follows the commissioning of two new reactors last year, necessitating additional grinding and pelletising capacity to handle increased rCB production. The new facility is expected to enhance rCB sales by significantly increasing processing capacity.
Electrical cabling work is now underway, with plant commissioning scheduled for April 2025. Due to technical interdependencies, full production, including the pelletising process, is set to begin in the third quarter of 2025.
The remaining components of the pelletising plant are en route and will be assembled in the coming weeks.
