HarperCollins Leadership to release Lead Boldly: Seven Principles from Martin Luther King, Jr on 12 August 2025
Publishing company HarperCollins Leadership on Monday announced the upcoming release of Lead Boldly: Seven Principles from Martin Luther King Jr, created in partnership with the Martin Luther King Jr Library.
The book will be published on 12 August 2025 and features a collection of Dr King's iconic speeches alongside insights from Robert F. Smith, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Vista Equity Partners.
Timed to coincide with the 62nd anniversary of the March on Washington, the book explores key themes from Dr King's work, including 'The Beloved Community', 'Economic Justice' and 'Two Americas'. Smith contextualizes these principles with personal experiences, illustrating their relevance for contemporary leadership and the pursuit of inclusive economies and communities.
Lead Boldly aims to inspire leaders by reflecting on Dr King's transformative speeches and their application to addressing modern challenges such as racial inequality and economic justice. The book highlights the enduring impact of Dr King's vision and how it shaped Smith's leadership journey.
Robert F. Smith is a renowned investor, philanthropist and advocate for equality. As the head of Vista Equity Partners, Smith has championed philanthropic efforts, including his 2019 pledge to erase USD34m in student loan debt for Morehouse College graduates and their families. He also leads initiatives like the Student Freedom Initiative and serves as Chairman of Carnegie Hall.
HarperCollins Leadership, known for publishing impactful works by transformative leaders, will release Lead Boldly in hardcover, ebook and audiobook formats.
