Technology, media, and telecommunications company HKT (SEHK: 6823) and LeapXpert, a business communication company, announced on Monday that they have teamed up to offer secure, regulatory-compliant digital communication solutions, targeting businesses, particularly in the financial sector. The collaboration's first successful deployment is at The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA).

This partnership combines HKT's advanced network infrastructure and system integration expertise with LeapXpert's comprehensive communication compliance solutions. It enables businesses to engage with customers via preferred messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and WeChat while maintaining regulatory compliance. Employees no longer need to switch between messaging apps.

LeapXpert's Digital Communications Governance and Archiving (DCGA) solutions ensure communications are governed, archived and comply with stringent regulatory requirements. This also includes safeguarding sensitive data and protecting against malware through secure file transfers.

BEA, a Hong Kong-based financial group, has implemented the LeapXpert Communications Platform, supported by HKT's connectivity infrastructure, as its enterprise messaging solution. This platform allows BEA employees to communicate with customers via WhatsApp and WeChat, maintaining customer preferences.
