Springer Nature launches Nature Books imprint
Academic publisher Springer Nature has launched Nature Books, a new imprint designed to bring Nature Portfolio's scientific reputation and editorial expertise to long-form book publishing.
The imprint combines Nature Portfolio editors' subject expertise with Springer Nature's academic book publishing capabilities to support authors in developing and expanding research-based works.
Nature Books will target academics, policymakers, and funders, publishing titles focused on major issues affecting research and society.
Chief publishing officer Harsh Jegadeesan said the initiative reflects Springer Nature's commitment to providing authors with publishing options that increase the reach and impact of their work.
The imprint expands Springer Nature's broader books portfolio alongside its Springer and Palgrave Macmillan brands, offering authors access to specialised editorial guidance and peer review processes.
Springer Nature, the world's largest academic book publisher, publishes approximately 14,500 books annually. The first Nature Books titles are scheduled to launch later this year.
