Quercus acquires Matt Willis memoir for 2026 publication
Publishing house Quercus has acquired world rights to Mending, the memoir of pop star Matt Willis, industry news site The Bookseller reported on Wednesday.
Set to be published on 8 October 2026, the book chronicles Willis' journey from his early life on a Surrey council estate to his career as a member of Busted, as well as his experiences with addiction, recovery and resilience.
Willis, who has continued his career as a musician, actor and presenter, has been sober for eight years and aims to share his ongoing recovery journey through the memoir.
Mending is described as both a personal account and a story focused on recovery and hope. The memoir explores the pressures of fame, career changes, relationships, parenthood and Willis' path toward rebuilding his life.
