SIBS signs agreement to deliver 200 modular student units in Sweden
Modular building manufacturer SIBS AB (STO: SIBS02) said on Thursday it has agreed to design and deliver 200 student accommodation units under a turnkey contract.
The project will use SIBS's standardised student housing concept, with layouts adapted for modular production and assembly. The company has delivered nearly 4,000 homes in Sweden through its own or joint developments, and this deal represents its first external delivery outside Sveaviken Bostad in the domestic market.
A Swedish developer will oversee the wider project on land with an approved zoning plan. SIBS will manage design work through to building start permit, after which the agreement will convert into a full production contract.
Design work is under way, with production expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to permit approval and financing.
