Bango powers KDDI povo2.0 streaming bundles with Digital Vending Machine
Mobile commerce specialist Bango plc (AIM: BGO) revealed on Wednesday that it has been selected by KDDI, a large Japanese telecommunications group with more than 70 million subscribers, to power subscription content offerings for its povo2.0 pre-paid mobile service using the Digital Vending Machine platform.
This partnership enables povo2.0 customers to access a range of leading streaming services bundled directly with their mobile plans. The offering extends KDDI's flexible povo2.0 model, which allows customers to enhance base plans with optional add-ons rather than fixed monthly contracts.
Deployment of the Digital Vending Machine allows KDDI to consolidate multiple subscription services into a single destination, simplifying subscription bundling and accelerating the launch of new offers. The platform provides access to a growing catalogue of services and delivers insights to support personalisation and long-term growth.
Bango plc supports global content providers in reaching paying customers through mobile-centric monetisation, with its technology trusted by major digital groups including Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).
