Finnish construction company SRV Yhtiot Oyj (SRV Group PLC) (HEL:SRV1V) announced on Friday that it has signed an agreement with the City of Hyvinkää to begin the implementation phase of Hyvinkää Arena, a new multipurpose venue in Hangonsilta.

The facility will include a sports hall, gym, running areas, and new premises for Laurea University of Applied Sciences, as well as a shared student and event restaurant. Designed for flexibility, the venue will serve school and club sports, competitive events, and academic needs, including hosting corporate and large-scale public events.

The arena's construction will follow a collaborative project management model. The total project cost is estimated at EUR45.6m, with SRV's share amounting to EUR38m. The development is a joint venture between the City of Hyvinkää and Laurea University of Applied Sciences.

Hyvinkää Arena will span approximately 13,000 square metres, with 9,800 square metres dedicated to sports and events, and 3,200 to higher education facilities.

The project will now be added to SRV's June order backlog, with construction commencing immediately. Completion is targeted for early 2027.
