Séché Environnement signs purchase offer to acquire Groupe Flamme for EUR300m
French waste management company Séché Environnement (Euronext Paris:SCHP) announced on Friday that it has signed a unilateral purchase offer to acquire Groupe Flamme, a leading hazardous waste incineration and sanitation services provider in north-eastern France.
The transaction includes 100% of the share capital of A.R.F. and its subsidiaries, Flamme Environnement and Flamme Assainissement.
Groupe Flamme operates mainly in the Hauts-de-France region and employs approximately 560 people. In 2024, it reported revenue of about EUR100m and EBITDA of around EUR20m.
The EUR300m acquisition would be financed with Séché Environnement's available cash and is subject to approval by the French Competition Authority. The Groupe Flamme companies will begin the required employee consultation process.
This strategic move would enhance Séché Environnement's industrial and commercial footprint in France and Europe, particularly in hazardous waste treatment. The assets are considered highly complementary to the group's existing operations.
