Hexagon to acquire CONET Communications assets to boost public safety platform
Swedish industrial technology company Hexagon (STO:HEXA-B) announced on Thursday that it has agreed to acquire the Unified Communications Radio Suite (UCRS) software assets of CONET Communications GmbH, part of CONET Group.
This acquisition enhances Hexagon's public safety platform with integrated communication capabilities for control centres.
UCRS supports a wide range of communication channels including PBX, mobile networks, digital radio, CCTV, satellite and public address systems. Its integration with Hexagon's solutions will provide emergency services with a unified command-and-control offering from a single vendor.
The UCRS solution, supported by approximately 50 employees, will join Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division. It is projected to generate around EUR10m in revenue in 2025, with margins in line with the division's averages.
Hexagon cited growing demand for seamless communication in emergency response as a key driver behind the acquisition.
Subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions, the transaction is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of 2025.
