Swedish manufacturing company ASSA ABLOY (STO:ASSA-B) announced on Thursday that it has acquired Pedestal PRO, a US-based manufacturer of access control pedestals, bollards and mounting solutions.

This acquisition aligns with ASSA ABLOY's strategy to grow in mature markets by adding complementary products to its core business.

Pedestal PRO, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Lindon, Utah, employs around 50 people. The company generated approximately USD11m in sales in 2024, with a strong EBIT margin.

ASSA ABLOY expects the addition of Pedestal PRO to be accretive to earnings per share from the outset. The deal enhances the group's electromechanical solutions offering and strengthens its position among access control equipment manufacturers, system integrators and security professionals.
