Accenture announces investment in QuSecure to strengthen post-quantum cybersecurity

Professional services company Accenture (NYSE: ACN) reported on Wednesday that it has strategically invested in QuSecure, a post-quantum cybersecurity leader, through Accenture Ventures. This partnership aims to deliver robust crypto agility solutions to help businesses and government agencies address emerging quantum threats.

QuSecure, based in San Mateo, California, developed QuProtect, an end-to-end quantum-security-as-a-service platform that integrates zero-trust principles with next-generation quantum-resilient technology. The platform ensures protection across networks, cloud systems, edge devices, and satellite communications without disrupting existing systems.

In 2023, Accenture and QuSecure demonstrated the first multi-orbit data communications test secured with post-quantum cryptography (PQC), confirming the feasibility of crypto agility. Banco Sabadell has since partnered with both companies to implement PQC technologies, enhancing its infrastructure against quantum attacks.

The company has also created an eight-step roadmap to guide organisations in preparing for a post-quantum world and developed a Quantum Security Maturity Index to help executives assess their quantum security readiness.

QuSecure is now part of Accenture Ventures' Project Spotlight, gaining access to Accenture's domain expertise and enterprise clients. This collaboration underscores Accenture's commitment to innovation, cybersecurity, and quantum resilience.

Accenture Security, with over 25,000 professionals, continues to lead in end-to-end cybersecurity services, helping clients innovate securely and build cyber resilience on a global scale.
