KeySIM backs Fieldmark AI's farm technology trial with 30 IoT SIMs
* KeySIM is supporting Fieldmark AI's work to develop technology for farming with a six-month trial of 30 IoT SIMs.
The SIMs will be used with Fieldmark AI's battery-powered Reolink cameras as the team tests its project in real farm conditions. By combining connected cameras with Fieldmark AI's approach to land management and data capture, the trial will help the team explore how technology can support farms and the people who run them.
Connectivity is an important part of the project. Cameras placed across farms need a dependable way to send information, including in locations where coverage can be challenging. During early concept testing, Fieldmark AI had already seen coverage improvements using KeySIM's single-network SIMs. The extended trial will give the team more time to test the battery-powered Reolink camera setup across its intended use.
KeySIM has agreed to provide 30 SIMs for six months, giving Fieldmark AI the opportunity to continue testing and developing the project with connectivity in place. The trial builds on the early concept work and will help the team assess how the cameras perform in day-to-day farm environments.
Mark Carr, Director at Fieldmark AI, said:
"We'd like to thank KeySIM for supporting Fieldmark AI with 30 IoT SIMs for this six-month trial. We're using the SIMs with our battery-powered Reolink cameras to test the project in real farming conditions. We've already seen improvements in coverage with KeySIM's single-network SIMs, which gives us a strong foundation to build on. Having the SIMs available for an extended trial means we can keep testing the camera setup on farms and learn how it performs in the situations it's designed for."
KeySIM is pleased to support Fieldmark AI as it tests technology aimed at addressing practical needs in farming. The six-month trial will allow the project to progress from early concept testing to a longer period of use with battery-powered Reolink cameras in the field.
