JibJab Alternative: Tangy Limes Launches Funny Face Video Ecards for Birthdays and Christmas With No Subscription
* Tangy Limes sells video ecards that put a real face from a photo on dancers who mouth an original song, at $1.99 a card with no subscription. It went live on October 18, 2026 with 93 cards and is backed by Jeje Studios.
New York, NY - For people who want a JibJab alternative for sending one card without a membership, Tangy Limes (https://tangylimes.com) sells video ecards one at a time for $1.99: a friend's real face from a photo goes on a dancer who mouths an original song.
JibJab sells memberships, $36 a year on its website as of October 18, 2026 (help.jibjab.com), and has a far bigger catalog. Tangy Limes opened on October 18, 2026 with 93 cards and charges per card.
In 90s Birthday Bash, the face ends up on a sumo wrestler in an inflatable suit. Ooh La La Anniversary sends a couple dancing past the Eiffel Tower. Ugly Sweater Party, Latke Party and Festival of Lights cover the holidays, and You Lost the Bet and Crypto Bro are for friends who have it coming.
The sender adds photos in a phone's web browser. The site finds each face, cuts it out and puts it on a dancer, and the mouth moves with the words of the song. The face is the real photo and isn't changed by AI; the dancers and the songs are made with AI. The whole card plays free with the sender's own photos before any payment.
Two tools help with real photos, which are often closed-mouth smiles. The sender can change how wide the mouth opens and swap the teeth, for example to braces or a gold grill. With two or more faces, the sender decides who dances where.
The finished card downloads as a video in wide (16:9), phone (9:16), square (1:1) or Instagram (4:5) shape, or goes out as a link by text, WhatsApp or email. The link plays in a browser, so the person getting it installs nothing.
A card is $1.99, three are $4.99, and there is no subscription. A custom song, written about whatever the sender describes, is $9.99 as a separate purchase. No account is needed for a single card.
Tangy Limes is a new venture backed by Jeje Studios, an independent studio that makes games, animation and apps. JibJab is a trademark of its owner; Tangy Limes isn't affiliated with or endorsed by it.
