SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, CA -- A new organization. A new season. A new standard. The SFV Chargers officially kicked off their inaugural season in impressive fashion, earning victories across all five divisions and beginning the year a perfect 5-0.

For a first-year organization built from the ground up, opening weekend represented much more than wins and losses. It was the first opportunity to see months of planning, practices, preparation, and community support come together on game day.

And the results spoke loudly

The Chargers dominated at home, with 9U earning a 38-0 shutout, 10U winning 41-6, 11U posting another shutout with a 14-0 victory, and 13U finishing with a 33-12 win.

While four divisions defended home field, 14U took care of business on the road with an 18-6 victory, completing a clean sweep for the organization.

Built on Championship Leadership

At the foundation of the SFV Chargers are four accomplished professional athletes who understand what it takes to compete-and win-at the highest level: boxing champion Zab Judah, Super Bowl Champion T.J. Ward, NFL veteran Dashon Goldson, and Heisman Trophy winner and NFL veteran Reggie Bush.

Their vision is about more than putting talented football teams on the field. The goal is to create an environment where young athletes can develop discipline, confidence, accountability, character, and a winning mentality while being surrounded by leaders who have experienced elite competition firsthand.

That leadership is also present directly on the sidelines

Dashon Goldson serves as Head Coach of the SFV Chargers 10U team, which opened its season with an impressive 41-6 victory, while Reggie Bush serves as Head Coach of the 11U team, which began its season with a 14-0 shutout.

Having leaders of their caliber actively coaching and mentoring young athletes reflects what the SFV Chargers were created to represent: giving the next generation access to knowledge, experience, mentorship, and opportunities that extend far beyond the football field.

Five Teams. Five Wins. One Family.

Launching a new youth football organization comes with challenges. New teams have to build chemistry, coaches have to establish a culture, families have to come together, and countless details must be handled behind the scenes before the first whistle is ever blown.

The SFV Chargers entered this season determined to build something bigger than football - an organization centered around discipline, development, accountability, family, and opportunity for young athletes throughout the San Fernando Valley.

Opening weekend provided an early glimpse of what that vision can become.

These victories belong not only to the athletes who competed on the field, but also to the coaches who prepared them, the team managers working behind the scenes, the parents who continue to support the program, and the volunteers who helped make the Chargers' first home games possible.

The Beginning, Not the Finish

Starting an inaugural season 5-0 is an accomplishment worth celebrating, but for the SFV Chargers, opening weekend is only the beginning.

There is an entire season ahead, more work to be done, more lessons to learn, and more opportunities for these young athletes to grow both on and off the field.

A new organization entered the season with something to prove.

Five games later, the SFV Chargers are 5-0.
