Industrial safety company Troax Group AB (STO:TROAX) on Friday launched Smart Fix Re:Cycled, which it described as the world's first machine guarding mesh panel made entirely from recycled and low-emission materials.

The product is manufactured using recycled and low-emission steel, recycled plastic top caps, and recycled powder coating. The top caps are made of rPETg, a durable recycled plastic (recycled polyethylene terephthalate glycol).

Colour powder is collected and reused between orders to reduce waste, resulting in unique colouring for each order.

According to the company, Smart Fix Re:Cycled delivers a carbon footprint more than 70% lower than its standard alternative while maintaining the same level of protection and performance as the Smart Fix ST20 machine guarding system.

The new product will initially be launched in Europe.
