About lung cancer
Lung cancer is a form of cancer where cells that line the airways grow and divide uncontrollably and faster than they should. There are two main types: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which is more common, and small cell lung cancer (SCLC), which is less common but grows and spreads more rapidly. Smoking is the most common cause of lung cancer, although it can develop in people who have never smoked.
About Know Lung Cancer
Guided by an experienced global ambassador group, the initiative ensures the patient voice remains central to everything it does. Know Lung Cancer has a dedicated and highly experienced global ambassador group who meet regularly to steer and guide the initiative. This ambassador group consists of patients and caregivers, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and industry representatives. Their responsibility is to propose awareness initiatives, provide concepts for support and educational resources, share their experiences and learnings from advocacy heritage, and endorse materials before circulation among the lung cancer community. To learn more about the global ambassador group, please visit https://know-lungcancer.com/about-us.
