E&R Engineering opens second US site in Portland
Taiwanese semiconductor equipment supplier E&R Engineering Corp. (TPEX: 8027) announced on Wednesday that it has opened a new office in Hillsboro, Portland, its second North American site following Phoenix, Arizona.
The company said the dual-location strategy is intended to strengthen local support for US semiconductor customers amid rising demand for advanced packaging. Order visibility in the region now extends to 2027, and the company reported that its Phoenix collaboration with industry partners will provide after-sales support and parts trading for North American clients. The Portland office will also act as a platform to connect Taiwanese semiconductor suppliers with US customers, with several partners already engaging end-users.
E&R is also introducing its Automation Integration Service (AIS) to the US market, integrating multiple process modules into customised systems rather than supplying single-equipment solutions. The company said AIS has already generated orders and begun contributing to revenue, with wider adoption expected between late 2026 and 2027. To support expansion, E&R is launching a large-scale recruitment drive to source field service engineers and project managers in North America.
