Key features include high brightness for sunlight readability, wide operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, and robust mechanical design capable of withstanding shock, vibration and extreme operating conditions. EMI and EMC shielding further ensure stable performance in electrically noisy environments.

The high reliability product range includes display sizes from 5-inches to over 15-inches, with resolutions from VGA (640 x 480 pixels) through to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels). These display panels support a broad spectrum of defence applications, including rugged tablets, drones, avionics, marine consoles, vehicle-mounted and HMI terminal solutions.

JDI's display modules are specifically tailored to meet the exacting requirements of modern military systems and high reliability application needs. Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatibility is available in accordance with MIL-STD-3009, ensuring cockpit and console displays do not interfere with night-vision goggles during low-light operations. Careful control of spectral output, colour characteristics and ultra-low luminance in night mode supports safe and effective operation for both aircrews and ground forces.

Central to the portfolio is JDI's Rugged Plus Series, which delivers zero bright dot defect IPS (in-plane switching) technology with superior optical performance and proven long-term reliability. Each product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure dependable operation over extended product lifecycles in hostile environments. Special attention is given to providing continuity of supply ensuring a product lifetime exceeding five years, that includes an extended development period, and long-term maintenance requirements.

Touch interface adaptability allows operation with gloves or wet hands, making JDI displays suitable for demanding tactical environments. With established use across aerospace, military vehicles, marine systems, rugged PCs and HMI consoles, JDI display modules are already used and trusted within global defence supply channels.
