Swedish engineering and architecture consultancy Sweco AB (STO:SWEC-A) announced on Wednesday that it has signed agreements to acquire Luxembourg-based consultancies PROgroup and +ImpaKT.

The acquisitions will be immediately integrated into Sweco, enhancing the company's regional expertise in circular economy and data-driven sustainability solutions, and adding approximately 40 specialists to Sweco's existing 110-person team in Luxembourg.

Both firms bring niche capabilities that align with growing demand for advisory services related to the European Union's Green Deal objectives. PROgroup offers end-to-end project management for sustainable real estate and urban development, grounded in circular economy principles. +ImpaKT also has a focus on circular business models, developing data-driven sustainability strategies for businesses, public entities, and EU-supported initiatives like CIRPASS and Onto-DESIDE.

The two companies reported a combined turnover of EUR5.1m in 2024. Sweco bv/srl, based in Brussels, recorded a turnover of approximately EUR350m in the same period.

These transactions support Sweco's strategy to grow through acquisitions that complement its core capabilities, reinforcing its market position in Europe's architecture and engineering industry.
