Eviden unveils cybersecure Ethernet switch card for mission-critical environments
Digital, cloud, big data and security business Eviden, part of digital transformation specialist Atos SE (Euronext Paris:ATO), announced on Thursday the release of its XMC Ethernet switch card, a cybersecure and sovereign solution for mission-critical systems.
The product is designed to ensure secure and independent communication through a protocol break mechanism.
Manufactured in France at Eviden's Aix-en-Provence site, the XMC-format card serves as a domestic alternative to existing market solutions. It complements Eviden's MLS Gateway offerings, which enable secure two-way communication between networks of varying classifications.
The card features advanced security functions, including data filtering, anomaly detection, and reporting capabilities to ensure transmission integrity. Its configurability allows system evolution and data partitioning between open and secure environments.
Compatible with third-party embedded computers across defence and aerospace platforms, it integrates on the mezzanine level and supports Eviden's own MLS Gateway systems. The switch card also supports multiple protocols and is aligned with the AFDX standard for avionics integration.
It is DO-254 DAL A certifiable and developed in compliance with CC EAL 4+ standards. The solution incorporates switching technology from Eviden's partner, Cetrac.io.
