Eaton and Siemens Energy partner to expedite modular data centre builds with integrated power solutions
Intelligent power management company Eaton Corporation plc (NYSE:ETN) and German energy technology company Siemens Energy Inc (ETR:ENR) on Tuesday announced a strategic collaboration to streamline data centre construction by integrating standardised on-site power solutions.
This initiative targets rising global demand driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
The partnership enables the parallel development of data centres and their energy infrastructure, reducing reliance on traditional grid connections and improving deployment timelines. Siemens Energy will deliver modular power plants based on its SGT-800 gas turbines, capable of generating 500 megawatts with built-in scalability and optional carbon-neutral operation using hydrogen.
Additional features include battery storage systems and an emission-free clean air grid connection, allowing compliance with local energy regulations and future retrofits. Eaton will supply essential electrical infrastructure and engineering services, including medium and low voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power supplies and modular construction components.
Together, the companies aim to provide flexible, grid-independent energy systems that support rapid, resilient data centre deployment.
