Saturday Books to publish Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross
Publishing company Macmillan Publishers revealed on Tuesday that Saturday Books, the New Adult imprint of St. Martin's Publishing Group, is to publish Wild Reverence, a standalone romantic fantasy by #1 New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Ross, on 2 September 2025.
Set in the divine world introduced in Ross's hit Divine Rivals, Wild Reverence explores themes of love, sacrifice and resilience. This sweeping prequel follows Matilda, a young goddess navigating a dangerous realm of treacherous alliances, and Vincent, a mortal lord haunted by dreams of her. Their destinies collide as Matilda seeks to reshape the violent ways of the gods, risking her magic and vulnerability to embrace love.
Acquired by Saturday Books VP Eileen Rothschild through Suzie Townsend of New Leaf Literary, the novel marks the inaugural release from the imprint, which focuses on fantasy, speculative fiction and romance for New Adult readers.
Ross's Divine Rivals and its sequel, Ruthless Vows, have collectively sold over one million copies, driven by a fervent TikTok fanbase. Known for Letters of Enchantment, Elements of Cadence, and other acclaimed works, Ross continues to cement her position as a leading voice in romantic fantasy.
Macmillan Publishers, part of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, will oversee the US release of Wild Reverence. Holtzbrinck's global publishing network spans the US, UK, Germany and beyond, delivering award-winning titles across diverse categories.
