Amaroq Minerals expands South Greenland Copper Belt holdings with Johan Dahl Land licence

Mining development company Amaroq Minerals Ltd (AIM: TSXV) (NASDAQ: Iceland: AMRQ) announced on Wednesday that it has secured the Johan Dahl Land licence (MEL 2025-17), adding 666.51 km² to its portfolio and expanding its holdings in the South Greenland Copper Belt to 3,147 km² through the Gardaq Joint Venture. The new licence increases Amaroq's total land position to 6,800.1 km², strengthening its presence in a region with significant copper-gold mineralization potential.

Initial exploration at the Ukaleq Target within the Johan Dahl Land licence has returned promising results, including gold grades of up to 12.3 g/t and copper grades of up to 5.1%. A 19 km² zone of copper-gold anomalism has also been identified, suggesting a robust intermediate-to-high sulphidation epithermal system, recognized globally for its potential in copper, gold and silver deposits.

The licence acquisition follows an intensive field program that sampled exposed quartz and copper sulphide veins, providing a foundation for detailed geophysical surveys and advanced geochemical sampling planned for 2025. These efforts aim to refine drill targets and further delineate high-grade zones within the licence area.

Amaroq's strategic expansion in South Greenland underscores its commitment to sustainable mineral development while contributing to the global supply of critical metals. The company holds a 100% interest in the Nalunaq Gold Mine and maintains a diversified portfolio across Greenland's gold belts and strategic metal regions, including advanced exploration projects in the Stendalen and Sava Copper Belt areas.
