BAE Systems secures additional USD68m for CATV production
Defence technology and aerospace company BAE Systems plc (LSE:BA) announced on Friday that it has won a USD68m contract from the US Army to produce 44 additional Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicles (CATV).
This order includes a USD48m add-on to an existing contract and a USD20m award for funding in 2025.
The CATV, based on the Beowulf platform, is designed for Arctic operations. According to BAE Systems, it offers superior mobility and is built on proven technology.
BAE Systems Hägglunds, with its experience in Arctic environments, will manufacture the vehicles in Sweden.
