Engineering company Aker Solutions announced on Friday that it has secured a contract valued between NOK0.5bn and NOK1.5bn to provide maintenance and modification services for Vår Energi's Jotun, Balder, and Ringhorne assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

This five-year agreement includes options for three additional two-year extensions. Services will leverage Aker Solutions' 20+ years of experience supporting these assets.

Vår Energi, Norway's second-largest gas exporter, remains a key energy supplier to Europe. Operations will be managed from Aker Solutions' Stavanger office, with fabrication executed at the Egersund facility. Work under this agreement commences in January 2025.
