A Chester-based ecology consultancy company is the latest organisation to be acquired by Inflexion-backed Celnor Group.

Arbtech, a team of more than 100 arboriculturists and ecologists providing tree surveys, biodiversity surveys and bat surveys, has chosen Celnor Group to be its partner for the next phase of the businesss growth story.

(Image: The Arbtech team) Celnor is a TICC (testing, inspection, certification and compliance) consolidator backed by London-based private equity firm, Inflexion. Other companies in its portfolio operate in the built environment, safety and compliance, risk management, and life sciences sectors.

The Group is headed up by serial-entrepreneur, Simon Parrington, and already employs 800+ people across 17 businesses.

With over 100 staff, the addition of Arbtech will be Celnor Groups largest acquisition to date.

Arbtech is the UKs number one ecological and arboricultural consultancy. Since 2005, the business has provided its services to homeowners, architects, planning consultants, project managers, and property developers nationwide, working on more than 50,000 projects since its inception.

It is currently the only UK consultancy that offers a refund to clients who are unable to secure planning permission based on their advice.

The acquisition will allow Arbtech to provide services in other adjacencies and offer clients a more comprehensive service line with even deeper expertise in the planning and development sector.
