Honeywell Technologies completes Johnson Matthey Catalyst Technologies acquisition
Automation company Honeywell Technologies (NASDAQ:HON) confirmed on Friday that it has completed its GBP1.325bn all-cash acquisition of Johnson Matthey's Catalyst Technologies business, strengthening its portfolio across refining, petrochemicals and renewable fuels.
This acquisition expands Honeywell Technologies' end-to-end offering by combining catalysts, process technologies and digital capabilities, while increasing its global installed base and broadening its reach across energy and process technologies. The company said the transaction supports its strategy of delivering integrated solutions to improve operational performance and efficiency.
The deal follows the June 2026 separation of Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ:HONA) and the October 2025 spin-off of Solstice Advanced Materials (NASDAQ:SOLS). Since 2023, Honeywell Technologies said it has completed approximately USD11.5bn of acquisitions and has also divested its personal protective equipment business and announced the sale of its Productivity Solutions and Services and Warehouse and Workflow Solutions businesses, with those transactions expected to close in the second half of 2026.
