Northern Marine rolls out digital inspection reporting tool following successful pilot
Northern Marine Management, part of the Stena Group, has agreed to roll out Kaiko Systems' digital inspection reporting platform across its managed fleet following a successful pilot.
The rollout will begin with Kaiko's Shore Reports solution, which supports Northern Marine's shore-based inspection teams with a more structured digital workflow for capturing findings and producing reports. The aim is to improve consistency, reduce administrative effort and support timely reporting following vessel visits.
During the pilot, Northern Marine saw a reduction in the time required to complete inspection reports, helping shore teams deliver documentation more efficiently while maintaining a consistent and structured approach to reporting.
Michael Hackett, Fleet Director at Northern Marine Management, said: "This partnership supports our goal of reducing administrative burden while strengthening operational standards across the fleet.
"By making the reporting process more efficient and improving consistency in how findings are captured and followed up, we can better support crews while maintaining a clear focus on vessel condition, readiness and operational standards."
The deployment reflects Northern Marine's wider focus on practical digital tools that support day-to-day operations, improve the consistency and quality of reporting, and help teams act promptly on findings raised during vessel visits.
Fabian Fussek, Co-Founder & CEO of Kaiko Systems, said: "We are pleased to support Northern Marine with the rollout of Shore Reports across its managed fleet. The project shows how digital reporting tools can help streamline documentation, improve consistency and support more effective follow-up."
The agreement marks the next step in Northern Marine's ongoing approach to continuous improvement, using digital tools where they can support crews, strengthen processes and enhance the quality and timeliness of operational reporting.
