OneSpan acquires Nok Nok Labs to expand passwordless authentication portfolio
Cybersecurity technology company OneSpan Inc (NASDAQ:OSPN) announced on Thursday that it has acquired Nok Nok Labs Inc, a provider of FIDO-based passwordless authentication software, to strengthen its position in digital identity security.
This acquisition supports OneSpan's goal of offering a comprehensive, flexible authentication suite across both software and hardware platforms.
Nok Nok brings a global customer base and expertise in standards-based authentication, including UAF and FIDO2 protocols. As a founding member of the FIDO Alliance, Nok Nok has played a key role in shaping global passwordless authentication standards.
The combined portfolio will include on-premises and cloud-based solutions, FIDO2 security keys, Digipass, and Cronto-based transaction signing.
OneSpan aims to simplify secure user experiences while supporting regulatory and business needs across digital channels.
The integration is intended to enhance value delivery for banking and enterprise customers worldwide.
